Two daily services will be offered by the carrier from October 26th.
This will include an overnight flight scheduled to arrive in Oman at 9:15 local time. Flights will also incorporate a stopover in Bahrain of no more than one hour.
James Harrison, general manager of Gulf Air UK and Ireland, said: "We are delighted to be able to now offer our passengers this improved connectivity to Oman.
"Our new schedule gives them a chance to enjoy our renowned service and hospitality and the choice of night flights in both directions to maximise their stay and enjoy the stunning beaches, diverse landscape and wonderful sea life that Oman has to offer."
Gulf Air is the only Middle Eastern airline to have joined an industry-wide consortium working towards developing biofuel for use on aircraft.
The group, which also comprises other major carriers such as Air France and KLM, has set itself a target of developing the fuel by 2013.
