Cheap flights carrier Wizz Air will launch new flights to Venice/Treviso from Prague in September.
The Hungarian airline will begin the three times weekly flight on September 30th, with the route expected to complement services already announced from Prague’s Ruzyne Airport.
Wizz Air executive vice president John Stephenson said that, since the airline was established, it had aimed at becoming the "low-cost airline of choice for the Czech Republic".
"Should competing airlines airlines go bust Wizz Air will step up and replace them. Effectively we have been already doing so," he commented.
With the carrier having been continuously adding new flights to its network in recent months, it is due to base two of its new Airbus A320 aircraft in Prague over the course of the next two weeks.
It expects to become the Czech Republic’s largest cheap flights carrier by next year.
Elsewhere, Wizz Air will introduce new flights to Memmingen from Kiev on September 22nd.
