Cheap flights carrier Jet2.com will launch new flights to Monastir from Leeds Bradford, Manchester and Newcastle, it has been announced.
The airline is the only low-cost operator to offer a direct route to the Tunisian destination from the UK.
Services are due to commence from all three of the UK airports on May 23rd 2010, with travellers able to book their flights to the popular African city from today.
Philip Meeson, Jet2.com boss, said: "We are committed to offering people in the north an unrivalled choice of routes to fantastic sunshine holiday destinations at friendly departure times."
He added that the new service is aimed at holidaymakers from the north-west, Yorkshire and the north-east.
The launch of flights to Monastir is part of Jet2.com’s recently announced expansion of routes from its northern airports.
Last week, the airline also announced its intention to launch seven new routes from East Midlands Airport with flights scheduled to begin next May.
