Turkish Airlines has announced plans to launch new flights to Gothenburg from the end of the month.
Flights to the destination from Istanbul will commence on June 29th as Turkish Airlines continues its efforts to cater for a wider range of travellers.
The Istanbul to Gothenburg service will be the seventh new international route added by Turkish Airlines this year, making it one of the world’s fastest growing airlines.
Passengers can now travel to 112 international flight destinations on Turkish Airlines aircraft, with the addition of Gothenburg bringing the total in Sweden to two.
A tri-weekly service will see flights to the city, which is the second-largest in the Scandinavian country, take off from Istanbul on Mondays, Wednesdays and Friday.
Return flights to Istanbul from Gothenburg will also operate on the same days.
The news comes soon after Turkish Airlines unveiled a significant expansion programme which will see an increased number of flights to Beijing, Shanghai, Beirut, Tunis, Skopje and Sana’a.
