US cheap flights carrier JetBlue will launch new flights to Fort Lauderdale from San Francisco this winter.
Non-stop daily flights will be introduced to the southern Florida city, which sits alongside the Atlantic, on November 17th.
The route will offer passengers convenient onward connections to destinations in the Caribbean such as Nassau, Puerto Rico and the Bahamas.
JetBlue’s chief commercial officer Robin Hayles said the airline was "thrilled" to be launching the service, which had long been requested by customers.
"We look forward to further expansion in these important JetBlue cities and we’re confident travellers will really appreciate JetBlue’s service, in particular our legroom, on this new coast-to-coast flight," he commented.
JetBlue offers daily flights to Austin, Boston, Los Angeles and New York from San Francisco, while a total of 17 destinations are served from Fort Lauderdale.
Last month, the airline was ranked the top US low-cost carrier in terms of customer satisfaction by JD Power and Associates.
