The airline has introduced a dedicated security check-in channel in a bid to reduce waiting times and speed up the process for premium passengers.
TAP Executive, TAP Plus, Gold and Silver Victoria Program passengers and TAP Corporate Card holders will all benefit from the new scheme, which was launched on August 11th.
The introduction of the new handling service follows the launch of a new exclusive check-in, Espaco Premium in June.
Although the new security service has so far only been available to passengers travelling on cheap flights from TAP’s Lisbon Terminal One base, the carrier intends to offer similar services at other airports in the future.
TAP recently announced that it carried 22.3 percent more passengers during the first six months of 2008 compared to the same period last year, with significant increases on its European cheap flights.
