The new cheap flights from Birmingham Airport are due to launch this winter on December 15th.
Services will operate on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sundays and will take just under six hours to reach their destination in Istanbul.
The carrier is also hoping that it will be able to increase the frequency of the route as it becomes more popular.
Turkish airlines wants to introduce daily flights by 2009 by which time it expects to achieve a passenger capacity figure of 30,000.
Turkey’s flagship carrier became one of the fastest-growing airlines in Europe in the first half of this year, carrying 12.5 million passengers between January and July.
This reflects an increase in passenger numbers of 15.4 per cent year-on-year.
The carrier has set itself a target to carry 23.5 million passengers by the end of 2008.
