Czech Airlines’ decision to open a new route will increase the number of cheap flights from Prague to Novosibirsk, it has been revealed.
The airline will commence its service from today (Tuesday, April 28th) as part of a strategy to cater for Russian people looking to travel to the Czech Republic.
According to Czech Airlines, both business people and holidaymakers have expressed an interest in travelling from Russia’s third-largest city to the Czech capital, and departure times have been chosen with this in mind.
Czech Airlines’ Airbus A319 aircraft, which can accommodate up to 135 passengers, will operate on the route, which will see cheap flights offered from Prague to Novosibirsk – and vice versa – twice a week.
Commenting on the unique nature of the service, Czech Airlines’ vice president for marketing and product development, Petr Pistelak, said: "Czech Airlines is the only carrier from central Europe that offers flights from the Novosibirsk Airport."
Last month Czech Airlines announced plans to offer more cheap flights to western and southern Europe as part of its summer flight schedule.
