bmibaby has unveiled several new routes to European destinations for its summer 2009 schedule.
The cheap flights offshoot of bmi will offer services from East Midlands Airport to Almeria, Manchester to Toulouse and Cardiff to Lisbon.
Crawford Rix, managing director of bmibaby, noted that the routes show the carrier is going from strength to strength despite the current market conditions.
"We’re proud to launch our summer 2009 schedule with even more new routes from the regions," he said.
"I strongly believe that the combination of bmibaby’s low fares and great service is fuelling the demand for our flights, and as a result we will continue to offer new destinations."
The airline also announced that tickets for its existing summer 2009 routes, including cheap flights to Malaga, Faro and Palma, are now available for booking.
"Customers have been contacting us asking when they can book next year’s flights. This shows that the appetite for travel is still very much alive and kicking," added Mr Rix.
