Prize

£1,000 to spend on any long haul product such as flights, hotels or car hire departing before September 2011 with netflights.com.

This competition is open to all residents of the UK and Ireland, except for employees and agencies of Skyscanner or any other person connected to this promotion. The promoter (Skyscanner Ltd) reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants.

The promoter’s decision is final. Neither correspondence nor discussion concerning any decision shall be entered into.

This is a free prize draw. No purchase necessary.

No trade, third party or consumer group applicants will be accepted.

Entrants should be 18 years and above.

Any extra activities and costs beyond the specified prize will be the responsibility of the winner.

Where the prize involves travel, the winner is responsible – unless otherwise specified – for:

  • Paying all fees and taxes
  • Arranging appropriate travel insurance
  • Familiarising themselves with visa and other travel requirements
  • For countries where visas are required, the winner is responsible for applying for and paying for visas in good time ahead of the trip
  • For countries operating a visa waiver programme, the winner is responsible for applying for authorisation in good time ahead of the trip
  • All travel is undertaken at the own risk of the winner and his/her nominated participants in the trip

The prize winner may be required to participate in publicity accompanying or resulting from this promotion.

Skyscanner Ltd shall be entitled to terminate or modify the promotion or to modify these rules at any time prior to the closing date by publishing any such modification or termination on any Skyscanner Ltd website. In the event of a dispute, the decision of Skyscanner Ltd shall be final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into.

The prize winners will be awarded on a fair and random basis and the prize has been made available for distribution.

The winners’ names will be made available upon request and will be displayed on our ‘Skyscanner free prize draw winner’s page’.

By entering this prize draw, entrants will be deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by the conditions.

The judge’s decision shall be final. Neither correspondence nor discussion concerning any decision shall be entered into.

Winners will be notified by email within 28 days of the closing date (28th Feb 2011). It is the responsibility of the winner to submit correct contact details for this period.

If no reply is received to this notification within 14 days, Skyscanner reserves the right to withdraw the prize and award it to another participant in the draw. A second email will be sent warning of this, before the prize is made forfeit.

Winners will be notified in writing / by phone / by email within 28 days of the closing date.

No cash or other alternative prizes are available except that, in the event of circumstances outside of the promoter’s control, they reserve the right to substitute a similar alternative of equal or greater value.

If the prizes stated are unavailable, an alternative of the same value will be supplied.

Only one entry per email address is permitted.

Netflights.com Terms and Conditions

The competition commences on 1st of February 2011. By entering the competition, entrants consent to becoming a netflights.com email subscriber.

Directors, management and employees of netflights.com and its related bodies corporate and the immediate families and registered travel companions of employees of netflights.com and its related bodies corporate are not permitted to enter this competition.

The draw will take place on the 5th of March 2011 at 10 Waterloo Place, Edinburgh and will be conducted by Skyscanner Ltd and netflights.com. The draw will be videoed and available on YouTube.co.uk after this date.

The prize is £1,000 to spend on any long haul product such as flights, hotels or car hire departing before September 2011 with netflights.com. A combination of these up to a value of £1,000 can also be purchased as long as all products are booked at the same time in one transaction.

A long haul product is what will be defined by netflights during the booking process and does not include any European or UK destinations.

Prize travel is subject to availability at the time of booking. Prize travel is subject to netflights.com terms and conditions.

Each prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if a winner is unable to use the prize as stated. Prizes are not exchangeable or redeemable for cash or other goods or services. A prize cannot be transferred to any other person, unless agreed to by the promoter and netflights.com. There can be no changes made to travel arrangements once tickets are issued.
If the products purchased come to an amount over the £1,000 budget then the prize winner will be expected to pay the balance. If the products come to less than the £1,000 budget then netflights.com will keep the remaining balance.

Netflights.com, its related bodies corporate and their respective officers, employees, contractors and agents (Promotion Parties) will not be liable for any losses, damages, expenses, costs or personal injuries arising out of this promotion, the promotion of this promotion or the use of any prize, including but not limited to any breach of these terms and conditions, contract or tort (including negligence) and any other common law, equitable or statutory remedy (Damages) whatsoever, including but not limited to direct, indirect and consequential Damages, including Damages that cannot reasonably be considered to arise naturally and in the ordinary course of things, even if those Damages were in the contemplation of the Promotion Parties.

Entry details remain the property of the Promoter. The name the winner and video of the draw may be used for promotional purposes by the Promoter or Netflights.com, unless the winner otherwise notifies the Promoter at the time of accepting the prize. Entrants consent to the Promoter using personal information provided in connection with this promotion for the purposes of facilitating the conduct of the promotion and awarding any prizes.
