Over half of people have said that their ideal luxury holiday would be a round-the-world trip, the results of a new survey have revealed.
The poll, which was conducted by Holidayextras.com to mark the Queen’s official birthday on June 13th, revealed that 51 percent of respondents would like to travel around the globe if they were as wealthy as Her Majesty.
Just under a quarter (22 percent) said they would choose a break on a private island, while 11 percent would prefer a six-star cruise or a trip on a private yacht.
Holidayextras.com’s managing director Mike Whiting explained that money "is a big issue for everyone right now", but that there was no harm in fantasising about a dream holiday.
"With many holiday bargains and great value travel add-ons available, you don’t actually need to be as rich as the Queen to afford a well-earned break," he commented.
A separate poll by Holidayextras.com revealed 48 percent of Brits said their choice of a holiday this spring would be "anywhere with warm weather".
