For those hoping to catch forty or more winks whilst airborne, a travel pillow is an essential accessory.
Nowadays they come in a range of shapes and sizes, from the inflatable ‘horseshoe’ style to the squidgy bean bag. The Jetsleeper is a unique design in that it has a strap that attaches to the armrest and a hook that hooks over the headrest. This fixes the pillow in place offering a more sturdy place to rest your sleepy head and prevent the lolling.
The pillow itself is soft and cushioned, and the straps are fully adjustable to meet your repose requirements. It also comes with two different seat hooks to fit different airline seats and packs down into a neat bag just a little larger than a pencil case.
As a person who is sleep challenged at the best of times, let alone on a plane, I found the Jetsleeper did provide better support than your average travel pillow as I had something to lean against.
The downside for me is that I tend to be quite a restless sleeper and normally switch my pillow from my left to right shoulder throughout the flight; this cannot be done easily with the Jetsleeper as it requires a full rearrangement of the strap and hook setup.
However, if you are the sort of sleeper who can remain in the same position for the duration of your slumber, then you should find that the Jetsleeper offers more comfort than your average travel pillow, and could be the difference between a poor flight’s sleep and a satisfying visit to the Land of Nod.
