US cheap flights carrier JetBlue Airways will launch new flights to Montego Bay from Boston and Orlando this winter.
The introduction of the routes is subject to approval from the Jamaican government. Should they get the go-ahead, they will be added to JetBlue’s impressive Caribbean schedule which consists of 71 flights each day.
JetBlue vice president of route planning Scott Laurence said that Jamaica and JetBlue is a "match made in heaven".
"In just a few months in the market, we’ve developed a strong following among travellers looking for more from their airline – more value, more comfort, and more customer service," he commented.
"We’re thrilled to add to our island service with new flights from Boston and Orlando, where our ongoing international expansion has been a true success story."
The airline hopes to begin daily flights to Montego Bay from Orlando on February 8th 2010 and from Boston on January 9th.
JetBlue will launch new flights to Fort Lauderdale from San Francisco on November 17th.
