US cheap flights carrier JetBlue Airways has launched new flights to Baltimore/Washington from Boston’s Logan International Airport.
The airline will operate four daily flights to the north-eastern US city, with Boston becoming JetBlue’s 57th destination.
Flights to Boston will complement JetBlue’s existing services to the city from Washington Dulles International Airport, which are operated six times a day.
Robin Hayes, JetBlue’s executive vice president and chief commercial officer, said that the airline offers more non-stop destinations from Boston than any rival carrier.
"We are in the business of giving customers more than the other guys, including a first checked bag, free snacks and drinks, the most legroom in coach and more free live entertainment – all without a fee."
Mr Hayes went on to say that the airline was "in the business of giving back to the communities" it serves.
Earlier this month, the airline entered into a codeshare agreement with Lufthansa, allowing the airlines to offer connecting services between their respective route networks.
