Cheap flights carrier Jet2.com will allow winter sports enthusiasts to carry their skis or snowboards for free on certain services from Leeds Bradford Airport.
Tickets for flights to Geneva and Chambery booked between last Friday (October 8th) and October 31st will be eligible for the offer, with passengers required to add ‘ski’ or ‘board bag’ on to their booking.
This winter is the sixth season that Jet2.com has operated flights to Geneva from Leeds Bradford, which is one of the traditional gateways to the Alps.
Philip Meeson, Jet2.com’s boss, said winter sports holidays have been "hugely popular from Leeds Bradford" since 2004.
"We already offer low fares and friendly flight times, however as a thank you to the people of Yorkshire for flying with Jet2.com, we are now also offering free ski and snowboards carriage – this means no-one has to miss their annual fix or two this winter," he commented.
Jet2.com recently announced that its flights to Tel Aviv from Manchester will increase to three times per week next July.
