Cheap flights carrier Jet2.com has announced it will launch a new service between Manchester and Crete in May next year.
The airline will now fly to 19 destinations from its Manchester base, with the carrier also announcing that it will increase the number of flights to popular holiday destinations in Turkey, while launching a new flight to Dalaman.
Jet2.com will also be affording Sharm el Sheikh passengers more flexibility with its announcement that it will continue operating flights to the city until the end of the 2009 summer season.
Commenting on the new route, Jet2.com boss Philip Meeson said: "Jet2.com is increasing capacity as other competitors cut back and filling gaps where demand is clear."
Flights will begin on May 19th with one-way flight tickets starting at £68.99 (including taxes).
The carrier said earlier this week that it would increase passengers’ hold baggage allowance by 30 percent – a rise from 17kg to 22kg.
