Low cost carrier Jet2 has unveiled two new European routes for its summer 2009 schedule.
Jet2 cheap flights to Dubrovnik from Belfast Airport will be introduced from May 2nd 2009 as part of the airline’s service expansion.
Meanwhile, from May 24th 2009, Jet2 flights to Newquay from the Northern Irish airport will also be launched.
Jet2 chief executive, Philip Meeson, said: "These are exciting times for us and, unlike other airlines which are grounding planes due to hard times, we are expanding our range of destinations and are planning to increase our overall capacity from Northern Ireland."
The new routes are expected to create around 50 new jobs at Belfast International Airport, although the carrier has also announced that it will be suspending flights to Barcelona.
Jet2 claimed the suspension will be made because of over-capacity on the route.
The low cost airline will also introduce a new service from Manchester to the Greek island of Rhodes for next summer’s schedule.
