Indian cheap flights carrier Jet Airways Konnect introduces new flights to Bengaluru from Kolkata today (May 20th).
In addition to the all-economy service, the airline will introduce new flights to Jorhat, Agartala and Guwahati, while a new service will also operate between Agartala and Guwahati.
Jet Airways chief executive Wolfgang Prock-Schauer said demand exists for "quality, all-economy" flights to domestic locations.
"With the successful introduction of Jet Airways Konnect’s new service, and based on strong demand, we are confident that our new flights are in perfect sync with prevailing passenger needs, and will be very well received," he commented.
Jet Airways Konnect links the four major destinations of Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru and Chennai to several domestic locations, including Kochi, Hyderabad and Jaipur.
The airline’s fleet consists of six ATR 72-500 aircraft and two Boeing 737-800s.
Jet Airways will launch new flights to Riyadh and Jeddah from Mumbai on June 14th.
The destinations will be the carrier’s seventh and eight respectively in the Gulf region.
