Greater number of Brits book holidays online

More Brits are choosing to book their forthcoming holidays online because it offers dynamic pricing

More Brits are choosing to book their forthcoming holidays online because it offers dynamic pricing, a leading travel insurance provider has said.

According to James Furse, managing director of greenbee.com, travellers are becoming "more conscious" about their holiday budgets and that the internet was among the best places to look for value-for-money deals.

"The ability to browse and search is so much easier than it was in the traditional days when you were walking around a high street flicking through brochures," he said.

Mr Furse added that the dynamic pricing found online allows more people access to better deals and offers.

This has become more of a priority among travellers in recent months, with the economic downturn having an effect on people’s holiday budgets.

Greenbee.com research published earlier this month showed that 34 percent of Brits spend an entire day searching for the best holiday deals.

A further 19 percent chose not to research currency exchange rates, while eight percent spent over eight hours in a single day reading reviews from other travellers.
