Further improvements made at Aberdeen Airport

A new walkway officially opened at Aberdeen Airport is expected to improve passengers' travel experience

A new walkway officially opened at Aberdeen Airport is expected to improve passengers’ travel experience.

The terminal extension was designed after feedback from passengers was taken into account, with the result being a space which is enclosed, covered and segregated.

According to the airport’s managing director Ken Brown, initial reports suggest that the walkway is a hit with passengers and airlines alike, and he is hopeful that it will ultimately prove a sound investment.

"There is no part of our terminal that is not seeing the benefits of our massive spend this year and this walkway is a big part of that," he commented.

Other recent developments at the terminal include the implementation of an extensive stand re-alignment programme, which has ensured Aberdeen Airport is adequately equipped to deal with the exacting demands of modern aircraft.

Aberdeen Airport welcomes 3.3 million passengers a year, with flights to Heathrow, Amsterdam and Stavanger among the most popular routes offered.
