Regional airline Flybe will launch additional flights to Jersey from Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield during the summer months.
Four flights a week will operate between April and October to the Channel Island, which has long been a popular holiday destination for Brits on the mainland.
Jodi Stow, the airport’s marketing and communications manager, said she is "delighted" that Flybe has decided to increase its number of flights to "such a wonderful destination".
"This is more great news for the airport and for travellers, who can now choose from a wider range of dates to book their journey," she commented.
Flights to Jersey will depart on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays right up until the onset of autumn in October.
In addition to its Jersey route, Flybe also operates six weekly flights to Belfast City Airport from Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield.
Cheap flights carrier Ryanair recently confirmed that its flights to Barcelona (Girona) and Alicante from the Yorkshire airport will resume ahead of the summer holiday season.
