Flybe goes from strength to strength

Flybe is continuing to strengthen its position as one of Scotland's most successful carriers.

Flybe is continuing to strengthen its position as one of Scotland’s most successful carriers.

The airline is set to introduce an additional 117 flights under its new Flybe connections package, allowing customers to consolidate separate bookings into one single transaction.

Last year alone it boasted 21 domestic and European routes from airports across Scotland, including Aberdeen and Edinburgh.

Mike Rutter, Flybe’s chief commercial officer, also indicated that its recent franchise agreement with Loganair, announced earlier this year, will further strengthen its position.

He said: "It will greatly benefit both Flybe and Loganair customers by offering an expanded, efficient and friendly service at a price that offers outstanding value to a greater range of destinations."

The airline recently began operating direct flights from Guernsey to Paris, boosting its position as the Channel Island’s top carrier.

It also recently penned a three year exclusive contract with car rental firm Avis that will see both companies explore the possibility of integrating car hire with flight bookings.
