Flybe commenced cheap flights to Malaga from Humberside Airport at the weekend, the first time a scheduled service to Spain has operated from the regional base.
The Saturday service, which was launched on May 29th and will remain in place throughout the summer until September 11th, further expands Flybe’s Humberside presence, with a route to Jersey having been introduced last year.
Flights take off from Malaga at 11:15 (local time) and arrive back in Humberside at 14:10 BST. Return journeys depart at 14:50 before touching down in Andalusia at 19:05.
Tony Layan, Humberside Airport’s director, said Saturday’s inaugural flight was "exciting for both the airport and the region".
"Malaga is a fantastic addition to the airport’s destination portfolio with its beautiful landscapes, remarkable architecture, great nightlife and fantastic seafood restaurants," he commented.
"Our growing relationship with Flybe has enabled us to offer a greater choice of destinations to our passengers and we look forward to welcoming future customers to Humberside Airport."
Elsewhere, Flybe last month commenced flights to Edinburgh from Kent International Airport.
