Thousands of holidaymakers will embark on flights to Malaga and Alicante from Leeds Bradford International Airport during the first week of August.
Between August 1st and August 7th, more than 70,000 people will fly from the Yorkshire airport for their annual sunshine break.
While Malaga and Alicante are the most popular holiday destinations from Leeds Bradford, Faro and Murcia are not far behind.
Commenting on the busy summer season, Leeds Bradford’s commercial director Tony Hallwood said:
"As Yorkshire’s premier gateway we also look forward to welcoming inbound visitors from eight countries across Europe and domestic traffic in the UK to explore the vibrant cities and beautiful countryside in our region."
City breaks are also popular among the people of Yorkshire during the summer, with Amsterdam, Paris and Prague the most in-demand destinations.
Thousands of passengers have also booked flights to Venice, Ibiza and Mallorca.
Earlier this month, the airport received the green light from Leeds City Council’s planning committee for its £28 million passenger terminal development.
