British Airways (BA) will launch new cheap flights to Gothenburg, Sweden’s second-largest city, from Heathrow this winter.
Twice-daily services from Terminal 5 will commence on November 28th, with tickets for the route having gone on sale on July 20th.
Richard Tams, BA’s head of UK and international sales, said the airline is "really excited" about launching flights to Gothenburg, a city located on Sweden’s south-west coast.
"It boasts Michelin star restaurants, culture and the best views of the famous Northern Lights," he commented.
"The schedule is perfect for UK originating day round trips, and for connections onto the worldwide network."
BA already operates flights to Stockholm, Sweden’s capital and largest city – a destination famed for its waterside location and impressive architecture.
On September 12th, BA will commence twice-daily weekday flights to Copenhagen from London City, its first route to Scandinavia from the Docklands airport.
The route will be operated by subsidiary carrier BA CityFlyer and its fleet of Embraer 190 aircraft.
