FlyMontserrat will launch daily flights to Antigua from December 1st following the route’s approval by the island’s government.
One daily return flight will operate until December 15th, with two return flights per day commencing thereafter.
To accommodate the route, FlyMontserrat has acquired two additional Islander aircraft, which are expected to arrive before Christmas.
A Twin Otter aircraft will be added to the airline’s fleet next year providing that passengers numbers and the frequency of flights increase.
FlyMontserrat chief executive officer Nigel Harris said: "We hope that Montserratians will appreciate and support their ‘home-grown’ service which as it grows will provide more employment and training possibilities on island."
Flights will take off from Montserrat at 12:30 (local time) and return at 17:30, although an earlier departure will take effect from December 16th.
The carrier was granted an Air Operators Certificate in May by the UK overseas Civil Aviation Authority Air Safety Support International.
