Additional cheap flights to Berlin are being introduced by bmi from London Heathrow in order to meet strong passenger demand.
Heathrow’s second biggest airline will launch a fifth daily flight to Berlin Tegel Airport on June 21st, with the outward journey taking off at 07:10 BST before touching down in Germany at 10:00 (local time).
The return journey will depart Berlin at 11:05 before arriving back at the UK’s busiest airport at 12:00. Services will be operated using an Airbus 319 aircraft, which features both business and economy class cabins.
Katherine Gibson, bmi’s sales and marketing director, said the additional flights will help strengthen the airline’s reputation among business passengers.
"Due to overwhelming demand, our new services mean that London-based customers can reach Berlin even earlier for business meetings," she commented.
Further bmi flights to Berlin take off from London Heathrow at 09:20, 14:45, 17:50 and 19:45.
The airline’s services to the German city were launched on March 28th using an Airbus A319 aircraft.
