A series of developments have this week seen European airlines reinforce their links with major international partners.
The deal will enable ticket purchasing processes for two-part flights to be simplified, opening up the European destinations served by VRG’s new partners to integrated booking and check-in processes. Passengers on the south American airline will now be able to book and check-in just once for connecting flights with the interline partners, while luggage processes will also be checked through to final destinations.
The advantages of trans-continental airline partnership have not gone unnoticed by India’s leading airline, Jet Airways, which has signed a codeshare agreement with Brussels Airlines. The agreement will eventually allow the Asian carrier to market extensive European services between Brussels and Berlin Tempelhof, Lyon and Barcelona to its passengers, while widening the options for European travellers.
