Cheap flights carrier easyJet has launched three new flights from Liverpool John Lennon Airport this week as part of its expansion plans.
To meet the demand for the routes, the airline has drafted in a new Airbus A320 on its new flights to Dubrovnik, Naples and Bordeaux.
It is the first time that scheduled flights will be operated to the European destinations from Merseyside, with the airport now serving 21 domestic and international locations.
Easyjet’s UK commercial manager Carly Brear explained that Liverpool is the carrier’s "busiest UK base outside of London".
"We’ve listened to customer feedback and are confident our three newest routes will be a huge success, continuing to expand the choice for our customers in the north of England," she said.
The routes are expected to prove popular with holidaymakers, owing to Dubrovnik’s location on the Adriatic Sea and Naples’ and Bordeaux’s locations in the south of Italy and France respectively.
Last month, easyJet entered into a partnership with Laterooms.com, which allows passengers travelling with the airline to benefit from a number of accommodation options.
