London City Airport-based CityJet has been named Europe’s most punctual airline by Flightstats.com.
The Docklands airport’s largest operator had an on-time performance rate of 93.26 percent during the summer months, while some routes recorded a 100 percent punctuality score.
CityJet’s winter schedule is due to commence on October 31st, which will involve some minor timetable alterations.
While some of the most successful routes are being extended, others will see capacity adjusted to reflect levels of demand.
Laurent Petitmangin, CityJet’s head of sales and marketing, said that the changes will apply "on a small proportion of our routes".
"By ensuring an effective and efficient network we continue to deliver excellent passenger service, garnering us the accolade of the most punctual airline in Europe for the summer," he commented.
In October, CityJet will launch additional flights to Deauville and Brive, two popular French destinations, in the wake of high demand for the services.
