Stansted Airport has issued a series of Christmas tips for passengers flying from the airport over the festive season.
Travellers are reminded to remember to print off their boarding card if they have already checked in online, while restrictions remain in place on the carriage of liquid, with each passenger permitted to carry just one piece of hand luggage.
Those heading abroad for a Christmas break should arrive at Stansted at least two hours before their flight departs, with passengers reminded to go straight to security after they have checked themselves in.
Stansted’s terminal general manager Neale Jouques said that the festive season is one of the busiest times of year for the airport.
"We are preparing to welcome nearly three quarters of a million passengers over the holiday period this year," he explained.
Mr Jouques went on to say that 99 percent of the airport’s passengers have queued for less than ten minutes on a flight from Stansted this year.
Cheap flights carrier easyJet said yesterday (December 8th) that it expected 900,000 passengers to travel on its routes over Christmas, many of whom will fly from Stansted.
