Cheap flights prioritised by people booking a holiday

Holidaymakers are likely to book their cheap flights before their hotels, the Times’ Ginny McGrath reports.

According to the Frommers, the average person chooses to sort out their cheap flights 44 days prior to departure, yet waits another two days before considering which hotel to stay in.

Meanwhile, car rental is a mere afterthought, with the average traveller booking a vehicle just 19 days before they are due to reach their destination.

Ms McGrath compiled ten of the hottest online travel trends in the wake of her visit to the Travolution Summit and also chose to highlight the fact that it takes 29 days and 12 online searches to book the average holiday.
