Now is a great time to arrange cheap flights to the Balearic Islands for a short autumn break, the Spanish Tourism Office has said.
With a number of inexpensive flights available to the Mediterranean islands from London, Manchester and other regional airports, the organisation said the Balearics are an excellent destination to secure some autumn sunshine.
Carmen Hernandex Gomez, the Spanish Tourism Office’s market analyst, said among Ibiza, Mallorca and Menorca’s highlights are some excellent cycling routes.
"With direct flights from London, Manchester and other airports the Balearics are the perfect spot for a short break," she commented.
"Rent a bike and try any of the cycling routes; many hotels rent road bikes or mountain bikes."
Ms Hernandez went on to say that another of the Balearics’ highlights is getting to know the locals and the islands’ culture, which is especially prevalent at the weekend markets.
Monarch Airlines recently revealed that its flights to Palma, the Balearics’ capital, were among its most popular routes during September, with its services achieving a passenger load factor of 95.31 percent.
