City breakers travelling on cheap flights to Zurich can take advantage of Switzerland’s most exciting night time offerings.
This is according to Zurich Tourism, with the city having emerged as a popular weekend destination for young people alongside its reputation as a leader in the global financial market.
Katja Walser, Zurich Tourism’s product manager, said that part of the Swiss city’s appeal is its "mixture of attractions", with it accommodating more than 50 museums and 100 art galleries.
"Recreational activities range from a visit to the riverside and lakeside bathing areas in the very heart of the city to a spectacular hike on the Uetliberg Mountain," she commented.
Ms Walser also paid tribute to Zurich’s exciting night life and said that the city has excellent air connections, with its international airport accommodating services to a number of UK cities.
According to Hotelbook.com, there has been a "significant rise" in the number of people staying in Switzerland’s largest city.
