Birmingham International Airport will welcome cheap flights to Cyprus next March.
Discount carrier Monarch, which already offers cheap flights from the West Midlands to Menorca, the Canary Islands and several cities in mainland Spain, will start flights to Larnaca on March 29th.
The new flights will run twice a week and are part of wider schedule changes at Birmingham by Monarch.
As well as the flights to Larnaca, Monarch plans to increase the number of departures it operates from Birmingham to Lanzarote and Tenerife.
Liz Savage, managing director of the airline told the Birmingham Post: "We are delighted to be expanding our network to the Eastern Mediterranean with the launch of services to Cyprus from Birmingham.
"I am sure that the people of the Midlands will warmly welcome the introduction of this service."
This news follows the announcement from Turkish Airlines last week that it will add flights to Istanbul from Birmingham in December.
