British Airways (BA) will be launching two new routes out of London City Airport in December.
The new flights to Geneva and Lyon are set to be introduced from December 15th and will bring the total number of BA flights from London City Airport to 12.
Flights will be offered through the BA owned subsidiary CityFlyer.
Luke Hayhoe, commercial manager with the carrier, said: "We are responding directly to a growing demand from our customers for winter only ski flights from London City and are delighted to offer two of the most popular destinations."
BA’s new routes will complement an increased frequency on Nice and Edinburgh routes from the London hub, as well as an additional daily service to Glasgow.
"The further increase in flights to existing destinations offers a wider choice to business passengers, during the busy winter period," said Richard Gooding, chief executive of London City Airport.
This new routes boost for the docklands hub follows confirmation of a new partnership between London City Airport and Street Car, which has a dedicated short stay car park at the airport.
