Following matches in the 2nd leg of the Champions League, Skyscanner has seen flight searches to Madrid spike after both teams went one step closer to securing a place in the final.
Searches for London to Madrid flights rose a massive 559% whilst Manchester to Madrid routes rose 307%.
Arsenal thrashed Porto in a 5-0 victory, whilst Manchester United gave Milan a similar beating with a 4-0 score line.
Barry Smith, Skyscanner Co-founder and Market Development Director commented:
“The massive spikes that Skyscanner saw on these routes show that fans of both teams are confident of a place in the final. But it looks like Arsenal fans have just that little more faith in their team than their Manchester United rivals.”
The next games for the English teams are the 1st leg quarter finals which will see Manchester United play Bayern in Munich on the 30th of March, and Arsenal take on Barcelona at home on the 31st March.
