US cheap flights carrier AirTran Airways has launched a daily flight to Cancun International Airport from Baltimore.
Kevin Healey, AirTran Airways senior vice-president of marketing and planning, said that the Mexican city is a "favourite travel destination" among travellers from the US.
Commenting on the flight, which was launched on March 7th, Mr Healey said: "We offer reasonable prices at all times, but our introductory fare is especially low to encourage travellers from Baltimore to get acquainted with the convenience of the new flight and accessibility of the destination."
The flight departs from Baltimore at 11:35 (local time) and arrives in Cancun at 14:00 (local time). The return flight departs from Mexico at 14:45 and arrives back in Baltimore at 19:10.
Last week the airline began daily flights to Fort Lauderdale from Columbus, becoming the only carrier of offer a non-stop daily flight between the two airports.
AirTran will also introduce a third daily flight to Atlanta from Port Columbus on May 21st.
