Germany’s second-largest airline, Air Berlin has announced that it is launching a fourth daily service from Stansted to Dusseldorf from February 2nd next year.
The new route, which is already taking bookings, complements the airline’s existing three daily services between London and Dusseldof and will afford passengers greater flexibility when booking their city break on the river Rhine.
Commenting on the new route, Titus Johnson, Air Berlin’s country manager for the UK and Ireland, said: "Dusseldorf has become Air Berlin’s most important hub by providing UK passengers with easy connections and access to major German, European and international destinations with exceptionally fast transit times."
The new service will be available from Monday to Friday, with fares starting from £24. A further new route will begin on December 1st, with a twice-daily flight from Stansted to Dresden via Dusseldorf.
Air Berlin announced last week that that it would close its Munich-based dba domestic flights services at the end of November as part of a planned move to fold it into its parent company.
