Air Berlin will be launching flights to Israel for the first time as part of its 2009 summer schedule.
Germany’s second-largest airline will introduce two non-stop flights to Tel Aviv per week from the country’s capital from July 7th.
Air Berlin jets will take off from Berlin on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and land in Israel’s second city the following morning.
To ensure that the demand for the route is high, Air Berlin will be launching feeder flights to Berlin from a number of German cities
Last month, the carrier launched new flights to Oslo from the German capital, which represented Air Berlin’s first foray into the Norwegian flights market
Daily flights operate between the two cities between Monday and Friday, while the airline has also introduced a Sunday flight to the route.
As well as serving some of Europe’s major cities, Air Berlin also offers cheap flights to holiday destinations in the Mediterranean, Canary Islands and north Africa.
