German carrier Air Berlin has announced new flights to Paphos in Cyprus from its Nuremberg base.
The airline will add cheap flights to Paphos in November as part of its winter schedule.
Passengers from Germany and Austria will be able to connect with the Cyprus flights at the Nuremberg hub, from which Air Berlin already offers flights to several European destinations including Manchester, London, Lisbon, Barcelona, Zurich, Vienna, Nice and Budapest.
As well as new flights to Paphos, the carrier will add routes to Egypt, Malta, Morocco and Tunisia in time for winter 2008/09.
Air Berlin is not the only carrier to announce services to Cyprus. British Airways launched its first direct flights from London Gatwick to the western part of the island last week.
Flights to Cyprus were also added at Leeds Bradford Airport in May by both Thomas Cook Airlines and low-cost carrier Jet2.
