Aer Arann announces new flights to Spain and Portugal

Twice-weekly flights to Malaga and Faro from Galway and Waterford airports have been started by Irish carrier Aer Arann.

In addition, a new service will run four times a week from Galway and Waterford to Amsterdam.

Of the new routes Garry Cullen, managing director, Aer Arann said: "Spain and Portugal are popular destinations for Irish sun seekers.

Aer Arann’s flights to Malaga and Faro provide summer sun destinations direct from Galway and Waterford Airports. They have proven very popular, as the first flights over the May Bank holiday weekend were almost full."

Further new routes will be added to the airline’s destination list later this month, when the company begins services to Bordeaux and Lorient from both Irish airports.
