Aegean Airlines will be expanding its winter schedule with new routes between major tourist destinations in the coming months.
The Greek carrier will be adding a third daily flight between London’s Stansted Airport and Athens, as well as two new routes to other European cities.
Aegean Airlines flights to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport will be launched from November 12th, with a second flight to be added from March next year.
The carrier will also be adding a new service to Dusseldorf in Germany, which will operate five direct flights per week.
Aegean’s new flights to London’s Stansted Airport will begin service from December 15th.
This follows an announcement from cheap flights carrier Pegasus Airlines, which began offering five services per week from Stansted to Istanbul on October 1st.
The carrier will increase flight frequency along this route until 2010, when it intends to expand its services departing from Birmingham and Manchester.
Pegasus recently announced that its passenger load factor on its London to Istanbul route rose between 2007 and 2008.
