It takes serious technical knowledge to head up an Engineering team. So, as a leader, you’ll need to be experienced, humble and also highly skilled. And whatever the problem, you’ll find the perfect solution by encouraging your team to work as one, getting them to perform with clear technical direction.
We need your expertise to help us do something great for over 100 million travellers: make booking stays and journeys more sustainable and straightforward. It involves technical challenges and the latest technology, but that’s ok by you – in fact, it’s exactly what you want!
As Engineering Manager for our squad of AWS specialists, you’ll guide the team to run high-scale networking and infrastructure configurations across the regions that Skyscanner operate in, dealing with scale that only the biggest internet economy companies need to handle. Automation and enablement are key here – helping others do what they need to do rather than doing it all yourself, in a safe and secure manner.
Ultimately you are the experts for AWS in Skyscanner – if you don’t know how to do something in AWS, you’ll know the person who does and together you’ll drive best practise across the company.
Though you’ll be accountable for your own projects and trusted to deliver, you’ll also form part of a broader team that takes collective responsibility for our production platform and making success happen.
