I recently traveled here on a business trip. While the community is trying to improve the downtown, the atmosphere feels beat up and broken.
Kalamazoo is one of my favorite places. It's a good size with some big city traits without actually being a big city. Lot's of wonderful local restaurants and theater companies in the nice downtown area.
Henderson's Castle (great food) and Air Zoo (interesting for all ages)
went there with family for zoo trips for my son.
