Pitlochry is a buzzing little Scottish Town just of the main trunk road heading to the north of Scotland. It has been a tourist destination for many years and has a great range of accommodation and places to eat as well as a well respected theatre. It is the start point of a large 5000 people cycle race every year and it also hosts many other events such as the Enchanted Forest each year.
Pitlochry is a very lovely place to visit. There are plenty of nice hotels, guest houses and B&Bs. Lots of nice little shops, places to eat and drink and plenty of things to see and do. At the top of the town there is the railway station, so access to Pitlochry is very good. Quite difficult to park, unless you have a car park at your hotel! An excellent place to use as a base to visit all of the tourist sites in the area.
Charming little village with nice shops and good cafes and restaurants.
Lots to see
