Doncaster has got a decent shopping centre, Frenchgate, but honestly most of Doncaster is a dump. It’s a shame the airport is called Doncaster Sheffield despite Sheffield being the actual nearby city with Doncaster just being the town the airport is in, Sheffield is much much nicer and is actually worth visiting; if you get to the airport you can get buses straight to the Sheffield and it’s actually a lovely city to be in, I go to university there and love how great the city itself is, as well as it being a short bus journey into the heart of the Peak District.
