How fun to find a tiny country inside of another country! Take the cable car to the top of the hill, and as soon as you exit to the left, you can get your passport stamped for five Euros. It is pretty cool looking with a postage stamp. Loved the city on the hill, great little shops and friendly shopkeepers. The prices were really good since we were there on a rainy day and they were happy for the business.

Visit San Marino another country within Italy and find out how this tiny country has maintained it’s independence though the centuries. If you are into swords this is the place for you. Plan to go around lunch time and eat off one of the many balconies and enjoy the amazing view.

The smallest rebublic in the world, always gets beaten by at least 5 gaols, but is one of the most visited medieval castle town in Italy.

Disneyland with genuine historical sites thrown in. I don't care for the shopping areas - streets jammed with people going in and out of the stores. However, if you go to the castles and especially the outskirts of the city you will find far fewer people and sites such as the row of government houses, that I at least find much more interesting.
