Brasov is a town of German origin located in Transylvania. Surrounded by a crook of the Carpathian Mountains, this elegant little town has friendly people, authentic Romanian restaurants and chalet-like hotels. I was here at Christmas time and it was cold! However, the town's mountain setting and Christmas decor were made for a very enjoyable stay.
A restored medieval town that is a great place to experience the Romanian countryside and authentic restaurants.
Great place to visit - beware of pickpockets and people who steal ruck sacks and other scams. Nice historic town and I'd highly suggest a visit. We loved it. But always be aware here.
A very beautiful city founded in the Middle Age. German colonists played an important role in the city's development. Throughout Brasov are many houses that remained in their initial state thanks to restauration.
