Wageningen is a tiny city with quite some historical value. The most important event that took place was the surrendering from the Germans on 5th of May 1945, thereby ending the war. This day, Liberation Day, is still celebrated in Wageningen with paying homage to veterans and partying of course! Next to the 5th of May, you shouldn't visit Wageningen for travel, because it's rather dull. Good things about Wageningen are: the Rhine, nature parks like the Blauwe Kamer, the bars and restaurants on the main square and cycling through the area. If you happened to be around, you will be able to amuse you for 4 days with good weather. Longer? You'd better pack your Gameboy Color!
